Finance Manager

Key  Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month end process and preparation of monthly management results, tasks involved include:
  • Reviewing monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Review of aged WIP and AR
  • Perform expense reviews and distribute draft financial and project reports to managers
  • Perform review and close functions for business units
  • Review of results and analysis against budget/forecast
  • Prepare month end review with Project Managers and Profit Center Managers
  • Oversee reporting and analysis of monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting
  • Preparation of financial and project reports
  • Drive the budget process – creation of pre-budget comparisons/preparation and distribution of corporate charges/review of budget/ review with operations managers/prepare analysis and final comparisons.
  • Provide support to PM to prepare them to speak on the financial health of their projects and any client requests
  • Assist PMs with preparation of proposal and negotiation materials
  • Coordinate the financial information to respond to all survey results. Oversees reconciliation of balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy of entries
  • Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments
  • Establish and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Participate in the long-term strategic planning and direction setting of the operations

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related field
  • CMA or CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum six years’ experience in finance/accounting roles
  • Experience in a professional services organization
  • Experienced with Excel, Word, and Budgeting Software
  • Demonstrable management skills and experience in successfully leading a team
  • Demonstrable experience with relevant accounting standards and corporate tax matters
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in business processes, leadership, strategy development, management, client service, budgeting, people management, communications and consultation
  • High level of corporate communication skills including the ability to liaise at C Suite level
  • Strong analytical skills
